Buffalo Chicken & Black Bean Dip

This is one of my favourite appetizers yet. It is so easy, and trust me, everyone loves it! Whether you're looking for a weekend snack, something to bring to an event, or a Super Bowl appetizer, this is the one to make!

The black beans are a great addition to the recipe but they're not required. I usually make this without the beans and just with chicken and it's still really great!

Yes, there is a LOT of dairy in this, but that's what makes a great dip, right? For those who are vegan or lactose-intolerant, I'm sorry! You can try to use some vegan alternatives for the cheeses and attempt your own version of this dip. I'm sure it would still be great.

Now that we've lost them, let's get into it. This dip is the perfect combo of a spicy creamy texture, tasty chicken, and stretchy melted cheese. Pair that with some crunchy tortilla chips and you've got yourself a preeetty delicious snack.

Buffalo Chicken & Black Bean Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded chicken (I use a BBQ rotisserie chicken from the grocery store)

  • 1 cup black beans

  • 3/4 cup sour cream

  • 6 ounces of cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup Frank's Red hot sauce

  • 1 jalapeño, chopped (optional)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a small casserole dish, add the cream cheese and soften in the microwave (about 15 seconds).

  3. Add the remaining ingredients and half the cheddar cheese to the casserole dish and combine.

  4. Bake for 12 minutes. Add the remaining cheese on top and bake for 10 more minutes until the cheese on top has fully melted.

  5. Enjoy while warm with tortilla chips.

Let me know if you try this recipe out and how you like it! As always, I love to see pictures so be sure to send me or tag me in any pictures you want to share of the recipe.
